Taking place from 3rd to 7th May, ERES is joining London Craft Week’s journey of discovery programme across the city by showcasing exceptional craftsmanship by joining London Craft Week . The Week will include hidden workshops and unknown makers alongside celebrated masters, famous studios, galleries, shops and luxury brands.
For Eres, the art of lingerie has always been associated with tradition and French “savoir-faire.” Perfecting the fabrics has been at the heart of the creation process for more than twenty years, offering comfort and freedom to the women’s body. Along the years, classic fabrics such as tulle or jersey Lumière have been highlighted by the artisans’ creativity. It is hand in hand that the creative studio and the Calais and du Puy lace makers work together on the lace fabric, to modernize it and add new graphic inspirations. Leavers lace, one of the most luxurious fabrics, is created on the Leavers loom, developed more than two centuries ago to elaborate the most fine patterns and details. From the original sketch to the minute work of threading, the creative studio and the artisans weave together every chapter of the Eres lace story. Year after year, they dream and imagine new exclusive patterns for the different models.
London Craft Week will include: 129 events, 214 manufacturers talking, demonstrating and exhibiting (with 22 international makers) and in all 55 disciplines covered.
