Asahi Kasei are ready to reveal the new Cupro and ROICA™ fabrics for fashion and sport at the Premiere Vision autumn salon in Paris. Famous for high quality linings with a silk-like touch, Cupro now delivers its cool and sensual experience for all fashion segments as Asahi Kasei launch three new products to the line.
Cupro FF, a new extra fluid Micro fine quality for new levels of weightlessness and a cool luxe touch, with a unique personality in the market; the Matte filament thread, Cupro DF, an opaque option complete with UV protection and petal soft, powdered touch; and last by not least the new Cupro staple spun production that offers an everyday luxe touch with low pill luster. The new products are a practical response for modern underwear, sport and leisurewear that from now on will benefit from Cupro’s natural antistatic and heat regulating properties.
The high quality ROICA™ Colour Perfect will also be announced at Premiere Vision, the first dye-able to match stretch yarn that gives a beautiful no sparkle, flawless and even matte finish to many products. ROICA™ Colour Perfect match dyes to most fibers including wool, silk, polyamide and for the first time all cellulosic including cotton, viscose, Tencel, Modal and of course Cupro. ROICA™ has also made a partnership with the ERCA Group, a leading expert in processing, to facilitate the market introduction of finished products by offering expert colouration and process advice to dye houses and manufacturers.
Supporting the new developments, Asahi Kasei are pleased to announce a 40% increase in production at the ROICA™ plant in Thailand this year and a 10% production ramp up following the growing demand for Cupro.
