During the 2014 World Cup, Canadian menswear brand Garçon Model is joining forces with Brazilian NGO Grupo Ruas e Praças to raise money for the street kids of Brazil’s 5th largest city and World Cup host Recife. The NGO aims to support the hundreds of children living in the streets of Recife and exposed to drugs, gangs, prostitution and violence, by funding arts and cultural projects that give them the tools to build a better future.
The campaign #TEMVIDANASRUAS (‘There is life in the streets’) also includes this short video by Klaus Thymann that captures the courage, talent and dreams of some of the children helped by the project. From June 12, all profits from Garçon Model’s Brazil trunks ($34) will be donated to help Grupo Ruas e Praças.
