INVISTA, one of the world’s largest integrated producers of polymers and fibres, reinforce their commitment to its sustainability programme, PLANET AGENDA, today with the announcement of availability of the only commercial offering of a bio-derived spandex that can be used in a wide variety of apparel fabrics and garments.
The spandex will be made up of approximately 70% (by weight) of the new LYCRA® bio-derived spandex fibre coming from a renewable source made from dextrose derived from corn with the advantage of lower CO² emissions than the ‘traditionally’ produced spandex.
