Positive result for the 6th edition of Mare D’Amare, the Italian fair of beachwear on stage at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from July 20 to 22, which has registered a rise in Italian visitors and foreign buyers coming mainly from Russia, France, Germany and Spain. “A success beyond expectations – said Alessandro Legnaioli, President of the fair – that reaffirms and emphasizes the fundamental role on the international scene of this fair, now well-established and ready for the new challenges that are apparent today”.
Over 220 brands from all over Europe were exhibited, from the best known brands to new young designers. The fair will be accessible to everyone until the end of September through the platform “Digital”, where the audience can discover the collections in stand and the personal and collective fashion shows.

Fresh Spirit
The vintage spirit, friendly and relaxed, that we have come to know well in the past seasons evolves to become something more modern and younger. The contrasts are sharp, the lines are bright and clear and color harmonies are more daring. The artistic decoration and optical effects joke amiably, suggesting sizes and textures that are nothing but two-dimensional prints to all effects.
Exotic Glam
Ethnic and folkloristic patterns, exotic blooms, feathers and leather are omnipresent and enhanced by a high-tech finishing, while the intervention of technology enables the creation of metal laminations, intricate ornaments and applications, embossings, notches and fretworks. The traditional tropical and ethnic patterns are updated with digitalized and manual ruffles and pleats.
Power Play
Helped and motivated by modern technology, the body wraps itself of smart and sensitive materials, active sunscreens, modeling girdles and pro-active leathers. The tactile surfaces give new dimensions and futuristic abilities to the body. Sensitive layers of knitted fabric filter sunlight and water to add new features at the aesthetics of the more performing costumes. Alloyed materials, spacer fabrics, laser-cut fretworks, carved patterns and padded and embossed details allow to sculpt the body in a sexy way.
Geo Evolution
Inspired by the sea and terrestrial depths, we take a plunge into the unknown to discover what is unexpected and hidden from our eyes. The natural and rustic aspects combine to give birth to a new form of precious luxury. The spirit of the fabrics is opulent, but the design of the garments is peaceful and moderate.
