The word ‘boudoir’ originated at the end of the 18th century and literally means ‘sulking place’ – historically it has been used to describe a woman’s private room, often ornately decorated. It is in the spirit of the word that Doris Lee opened her concept store in October 2010 in Taipei. Modern, chic and elegant, this 67 sq m boutique is a jewel of minimalist design with sumptuous details. White furniture, light wooden parquet flooring, LED lighting and a crystal chandelier set the tone. The store’s only changing room is spacious and comfortable. The boutique offers a refined and exclusive offering, focusing on high-end French and European brands for lingerie, rtw and loungewear, as well as cosmetics and fragrances . Doris changes the window display weekly, and in the store each brand has its own designated space. Thanks to the dynamism of its owner, the shop has established a good reputation in a short time. Never short on ideas, Doris has created a VIP programme and a loyalty scheme and has plans for expansion of her boutique into other areas.
