Mare di Moda held in Cannes this month makes a strong case for the continuance and value of B2B events. Specialised, high quality trade shows with unique content are irreplaceable and unmissable and Mare di Moda has been proving that since 2002.

Visitors to the Fair later this month can expect:
- Trends, conferences, and insights to navigate (quite literally) the sea of fashion;
- Historic suppliers and new players to discover, because innovation often springs from unexpected encounters;
- Instant product comparison, without the need for “screen sharing”;
- New products and eco-sustainable solutions you can actually touch;
- Collaborations that are born over a coffee and a conversation about a fabric swatch.
The private label area, Makers, was first introduced to the event in 2007, to allow brands to find reliable partners in Europe and in the countries of the Mediterranean region, has constantly increased due to the exponential growth of the reshoring phenomenon. Bringing back the production to reliable and nearby districts and countries, the possibility of running minimum quantities, the attention to environmental issues and with a common attitude compared to Asian partners, is a reality now. This year, 12 companies from Italy, UK, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Tunisia and Morocco will be exhibiting in Cannes. Reliable partners able to support both designers which launch their first collection and established brands and chain which need medium/large volume productions of beachwear, underwear and athleisure. Those are Alma Fashion (Italy), Appareltasker (UK), Barco Tekstil San. Ve Tic. A.S (Turkey), Bikini Beach Concept (Tunisia), East Ocean (Portugal), FLM Textil (Portugal), Forum Groupe S.A.R.L. (Tunisia), Frantex (Tunisia), Group International de Lingerie (GIL – Tunisia), Interlinge S.A.R.L. (Morocco) and Textil Eltex (Spain).

FLASH! and ATH, two central highlights of MarediModa
These two projects, which immediately won the favor of both visitors and exhibitors, are designed to showcase fabrics in the form of finished garments and to enhance them through professional photo and video shoots. Today, the classic “still life” fabric photo feels outdated and flat. It is necessary to get as close as possible to the language of the brands—not out of imitation, but to unlock ideas and spark inspiration.
FLASH! aims to best represent the world of beachwear through unique fabrics transformed into prototype garments, presented via photos and videos shot in exclusive locations. Each participating company narrates its new fabrics through a personalized photo shoot and a dedicated video.
ATH, with the claim FREEDOM IS NOT FOR SALE, explores the athleisure dimension with proposals devoted to freedom as the highest expression of the individual, walking the fine line between fashion and sport. Original garments that highlight fabric performance and speak for themselves, suggesting new, fashion-forward, conscious, and free directions. At the fair, the ATH gallery is a key moment in MarediModa’s agenda, offering visitors the perfect springboard to start creating outside the box.
