Prof. Jimmy Choo’s JCA | London Fashion Academy hosted its inaugural Undergraduate show debuting 9 young designers from the Design, Branding and Entrepreneurship cohort at the Hanover Square campus in Mayfair. This graduating cohort joined The Academy on the day it opened its doors back in September 2021 and have built their own independent brands over the past three years. Each designer presented the first six looks of their debut collections.

The show opened with Maisy Binnss’ brand MOOCHA which blurs the lines between art and fashion. Binns’ collection was followed in suit by VESELA VALEVA, and a womenswear brand that looks to celebrate Bulgarian folklore through a contemporary style by Vesela Nikolaeva Valeva, JASMIN by Jasmin Woodward, a luxury sustainable womenswear brand inspired by ‘it’ girls and hotter climate lifestyles by Jasmin Woodward, NOWLAN by Niamh Nowlan, a womenswear brand redefining British heritage luxury fashion, unisex ready-to-wear brand 08may by Sohpie Hollands, ELIZ DJAFER by Eliz Djafer, a nightlife inspired brand emphasising authenticity, inclusivity and sustainability, JUNIPER, a socially responsible womenswear brand by Alexis Iznyon, and Savannah Griffin’s demi-couture brand, CSEREPHEL is inspired by the allure of pre-war fashion and captivated by the depiction of women in Baroque and Renaissance art. The show was closed by sustainable designer, Nona Cunningham and their womenswear brand, NONA ASSISI.

JCA is set apart from other London fashion academies through their approach. The school has an equal focus on vocational design skills and business education. The JCA launches designers and brands with the idea that they have a well-rounded skill set to thrive as a business upon graduation. This graduating cohort exemplifies the vision as the first class to graduate from the Design, Branding and Entrepreneurship course, each with a unique and formed brand.
