New label 2.10 swimwear launches its first collection of uniquely designed pieces created especially for sunbathers. Whether you’re in the mood to rock a cutout one-piece or a high-waisted bikini, 2.10 swimwear makes it possible to stay totally on-trend and still get a golden glow with minimal tan lines as all pieces feature strategically placed ties that let you expose more skin should you want to, and cover back up when it’s time to go for a swim.
For this first collection 2.10 swimwear designer and founder Julia Osovskaya was inspired by Mediterranean summers. The collection includes three styles: ‘Med,’ a two-piece monokini; ‘Petra’, a minimalist, high-waisted bikini; and ‘Bae’, a set with a bandeau-style top and adjustable bottom. All pieces come in a fresh colour palette that sings of summer, with hues of white peach, wine, frosé, stingray, mermaid, and raspberry.
“Having lived in Spain and Cyprus, the Mediterranean lifestyle – with its long summers naturally spent on the beach and out in the sun – made me rethink my whole beach wardrobe,” explains Osovskaya. “I still wanted to wear the latest in swimwear fashion, but could no longer stand the idea of unwanted tan lines that came with my preferred styles. A swimsuit that keeps you comfortable and stylish on the beach shouldn’t leave a constant reminder of time well spent in the sun. I soon realised there was a gap in the market that I was eager to fill.”
2.10 swimwear isn’t just about celebrating style – the brand is also committed to celebrating real beauty. The debut campaign was shot in picturesque Cyprus and brought together an international team of professional and non-professional models. Osovskaya adds: “We at 2.10 believe in real beauty in all forms. We do minimal photo retouching leaving stretch marks intact and don’t Photoshop the bodies to make them look like what they’re not.”
