FASHION SVP has opened submissions for its Designer of the Year Award 2026, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing the next generation of fashion designers.
Open to final-year undergraduate and MA students across the UK and Europe, the award provides emerging talent with a platform to present their collections to manufacturers, buyers, and industry leaders at FASHION SVP, taking place 28–29 April 2026 at Olympia London.
Shortlisted finalists are selected by an expert judging panel and receive the opportunity to gain critical industry exposure and professional feedback.
Last year’s winner, Edition 18, Mingyu Li, MA Fashion, Kingston University, was praised by judges including Niamh Maher, (Vivienne Westwood) and Mary Fellows (sustainability consultant and former Vogue stylist) for her clarity of concept, research rigour and polished execution.
The award celebrates innovation in design, sustainability, and commercial viability, helping bridge the gap between fashion education and industry practice, and underlining the importance of building talent pipelines for the future of UK and European fashion.
