NOVA FABULA – FORWARD TRENDS FROM TEXTILE APPAREL SOURCING PARIS

by Underlines

Organisers of Textil Apparel Sourcing Paris reveal 4 themes for 2026-2027 under the Nova Fabula title.

Under the artistic direction of Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris’ «Trends
Table» anticipates tomorrow’s trends with a sharp and creative vision. Their team, comprising stylists, designers, graphic artists, writers, and scenographers, offers each season an authentic and inspiring interpretation of emerging currents.
Their unique approach merges sociological studies, marketing strategies, and artistic creativity, highlighting the
works of artists who serve as true barometers of our times. With a keen sensitivity to society’s signals, they capture the spirit of the times and unveil the impulses that will shape the future of fashion.

Theme 1 : NATURA

Disrupted. Thrown beauty off balance. Perfection. Momentarily. Life survives. Always. But time is on its side. Not ours.
So, we can imagine. What will emerge from this upheaval? Everything is possible. Everything must be, in fact. Nature has more imagination than our poor minds. An infinite creativity. An untiring exploration.

A poetic return to raw materials and nature as creative matrix. Fashion becomes a biotope—resilient, textured, and grounded.

Theme 2 : SPIRITUS
We will have to seek answers. We will need to dissect, analyze, understand. But before torturing thought, before theorizing facts, there must first be thirst. This intuition that there is something more to reach for. More than mere survival.
The first step is always an act of faith. Because that is what faith is: taking a step into the dark.

An ethereal journey through spirituality and mysticism. Translucent fabrics and symbolic forms evoke inner awakening.

Theme 3 : PHILOSOPHIA
We grow. The child who believes is no more. The young adult challenges. Questions. They want to understand. Why? How? When? Who? What? And if…? It becomes an additional effort. Even a pain. It’s no longer about opening curiosity to all winds. No. Now, one must learn to think against oneself. Against one’s education. Against one’s biases. Against one’s culture. Against the obvious. To question everything. This is the time of adolescence.

A visual manifesto for critical thought. Sculptural silhouettes and visual tensions meet reflective textures.

Theme 4 : SCIENTIA
We have observed nature. We have sought to elevate ourselves. We have learned to think. We can now understand the world. Beyond thought. We can dissect it, analyze it. Since we have organized, nurtured, and educated our hearts, imaginations, and minds, we can finally interact wisely with the outside world.  We will be able to develop science, technology, industry… Everything that makes a great civilization, because we first turned our attention inward.

Innovation inspired by nature. Synthetic hues, modular shapes, and sustainable tech fuse in harmony.

The themes will be brought to life during the Trend Talk led by Louis Gérin (2G2L) on Monday, September 15. To visit the event please follow the link here.
