Last week (9th July) marked the completion of the BA (Hons) Fashion Contour Course at the London College of Fashion for graduates – some 30 designers were displayed on the Catwalk in Shoreditch, London.

BA (Hons) Fashion Contour students learn specialised technical skills and terminology in the design, pattern cutting, materials and construction of lingerie, intimate apparel, Contour Fashion and swimwear. Through the creative process, students will explore and experiment with designing for possible futures, addressing the context of social, racial and environmental injustices. Students also develop professional attributes, ability to research and critically analysis project briefs, visual communication, and business skills for a successful career in the fashion industry.

The Graduate Fashion Show had a bit of everything for press and industry professionals alike – from colourful, easywear garments right through to sexy and reworked nostalgic silhouettes. This year’s show was awash with glamour and seduction – and a few fun, minimalist and sporty splashes of colour and design.
