Just in time for Skiny’s 40th anniversary, the brand is announcing the launch of a sensational second-skin line called ‘Sensation’, which is artfully and sensually staged with the modern French „Malandain Ballet“ from Biarritz.

The ‘SKINY’ success story began with its founding in 1986. While the world was still celebrating shoulder pads and recording mixtapes on cassette, SKINY was launched in Vorarlberg (Austria) – with the aim of making underwear not only more comfortable, but also bolder, more stylish and simply a little different. What began with cheeky campaigns, iconic designs and a good dose of self-confidence is now a global player in the day and nightwear sector.
In its anniversary year 2026, SKINY is focussing on product innovation and first-class collaborations. For women, everything revolves around a reinterpretation of a classic: the bestselling ‘Micro Essentials’ series is getting new features and a new name. ‘Sensation’ is the name of the work, developed by Elise Recour, the new Head of Product at SKINY GmbH. Well-established styles have been lovingly rethought: familiar styles have been given subtle, sophisticated updates, while fresh cuts, such as a high waist brief or a front closure bra, have been added to the range. All made from a super-soft microfibre fabric that feels like a second skin and allows complete freedom of movement thanks to high-quality stretch fabrics. The ‘Sensation’ range remains true to the promise that has already made ‘Micro Essentials’ so popular: a feather-light feel, almost invisible and yet unmistakably present.

SKINY has always been part of the HUBER Group, a traditional austrian company with over 130 years of experience in the textile and underwear industry, which also includes the brands HANRO, HUBER Bodywear, HOM and GOSSARD. With the aim of being the new style for a new generation, SKINY was already focusing on modern, sporty and above all comfortable cuts in bright colours in the 1980s. In the 1990s/2000s, the brand and in particular the iconic ‘C.U.L.T’ range gained worldwide fame through collaborations with Naomi Campell and Helena Christensen.
