Leanne Cahill Steps Down From Bravissimo

by Underlines

Leanne Cahill, CEO of Bravissimo, has stepped down from the company after 8 eight years. She first joined the lingerie retailer in 2017 as Finance Director before moving into the role of Managing Director in 2018 and CEO in 2020, replacing founder Sarah Tremellen, who became chairperson.

The CEO role will not be filled, as Bravissimo will be led by Wacoal Europe CEO Geoff Embley (Wacoal Europe acquired Bravissimo in September 2024 for an undisclosed sum}. The rest of the brand’s senior leadership team will remain in their respective roles, reporting directly to Wacoal.

Cahill said:

I am so proud of every moment I’ve been part of Bravissimo and delivering our purpose to inspire confidence in our customers. I want to thank our amazing teams for everything they’ve achieved, and I wish them every success for the future.”

Speaking to Underlines earlier this year, it was clear that Leanne had great ambitions not just for Bravissimo but also for diversity in senior roles “Diversity in leadership is still sadly lacking and social mobility and removing barriers to people reaching their full potential is something I feel strongly about and try to contribute to whenever I can.”

Embley added:

We thank Leanne sincerely for her remarkable contribution, not only during her tenure as CEO but also throughout Bravissimo’s acquisition into the Wacoal family, where her guidance and support have been invaluable. As we look to the future, we remain committed to preserving what makes both Wacoal Europe and Bravissimo unique and successful.”
