WUKA Joins Tesco x Gen M to Launch the First MTick-Certified Menopause-Friendly Bay

by Underlines

WUKA has linked with partner GenM to join Tesco’s ground-breaking first ever menopause-friendly bay, the UK’s first permanent in-store fixture dedicated to MTick-certified products supporting the 48 signs of menopause. This milestone ensures greater visibility for menopause care in mainstream retail, making it easier for women to find trusted solutions.

Tesco’s initiative with GenM – the Menopause Partner for Brands—marks a significant step in improving visibility and access to trusted products. Research conducted by GenM’s UK Visibility Report 2024 shows that 94% of menopausal women want to shop for menopause-friendly labelled products, and 66% of menopausal women struggle to find them in stores. The menopause-friendly bay directly addresses this need, breaking stigma and reshaping the way women shop for solutions.

From April 2025, WUKA DryTech™ Underwear for Light Leaks & Incontinence (£22) will be available in 93 Menopause aisles in Tesco stores nationwide – showing WUKA is no longer just for periods – there here for your menopause journey too. Whether it’s erratic periods, leaks, or the 1 in 2 women who experience incontinence during menopause — WUKA is giving women the choice and control to manage menopause their way.

Ruby Raut, Founder & CEO, WUKA says:

For WUKA, being part of Tesco’s menopause-friendly bay is a huge milestone in bringing menopause into the mainstream. Unlike past generations who suffered in silence, today’s women can find tailored solutions in a major retailer. Tesco is setting a precedent that others should follow, and WUKA is proud to be at the forefront of this change.”

For a small, independent brand like WUKA, this is a game-changer. It gives us a powerful platform to challenge outdated narratives and offer women better, more dignified solutions. This initiative is about representation, education, and empowering women to take control of their health.”
