The Artesands swimwear brand from Australia specifically designed for curvier women is now available in the UK/Ireland through the APM Agency. This is in addition to their current representation of Sea Level, sister brand under the Bond-Eye Company.
Created as 68% of Australian women are considered ‘curvy’, it came to life out of frustration at an obvious gap in the market. The designs are graded up and down from a base size 18. Artesands also have amazing beach cover ups to coordinate with the swim pieces. The swim garments are cut to accommodate a curvier shape on the hips, bottom and bust – a contemporary swimwear collection for the modern curvier woman.
As Kathryn Gardner, Brand Manager of Artesands says:
We were being told that curvy women love their bodies, but the swimwear industry at large wasn’t offering them what they needed – in other words, good quality, gorgeous and supportive swimwear that would enhance their shape and allow them to enjoy the sun and water during the warmer months.”
QR Codes – Each swimsuit has its own unique QR code attached to either the cup sizing label, the pant waistband or the sun safe swing tag. This QR code scans through to a video landing page with additional fitting information of the style, and an image of the swimsuit on sizes AU18/US14 model. This landing page then tells the customer to go to the changing room and ‘try me on’ which is targeted for bricks and mortar stockists.
Artesands motto: “No six packs and thigh gaps here – we are all about the curve” – a brand dedicated to the design of perfectly fitting swimsuits for curves.
Spokesperson for APM Agency commented:
We are pleased to further extend our partnership with the Bond-Eye group. We have already introduced Artesands to several key swimwear accounts and the reaction has been 100% positive. We are excited to introduce this beautifully designed, inclusive brand to our UK & Ireland customer base.”
