Unveiled at the forthcoming Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris Fair (10-12 February 2025) is the new trend book (Neocene) introduced by Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamanud, the artistic directors of the event. Exploring a world undergoing profound change and conceived against a backdrop of severe economic, social and environmentl tensions there are 4 main trends identified for SS2026.
Quantum – energy, chance and freedom. Into the heart of substance with fluid, heated and incandescent materials on the edge of solid and liquid. Soft textures and expanded forms are at hom ehere and express themselves in a radiant, sunny colour plaette – spicy flavours, shades of tan and caramel.
Gravity – the multiple meanings of gravity – a heaviness that can be physical and emotional. You will find mineral and sandy materials, repetitive or sequential geometrical patterns alongside aqueous, biomimetic and animal-inspired forms. Colours are diaphanous and serious, natural and diffuse.
Relativity – a deepening of the previous theme where a world of oxymorons in which graphic motifs exspress a mummified vegetal world – supported by imprints, draped textures and embroideries. Colours are ash, tattoo ink, animal with a backdrop of dark and intense blues and mauves.
Magnetism – on contrast this trend exalts order and renewal and brings lightness even fragility to the creative approach. Transparency is assertive as are floral motifs and curved, ample and comfortable lines. The colour palette directly reflects the them – marshmallow, sweet shades, peach and blush pink.
And a glimpse that the palette of colours for forthcoming collections.
