Lounge raises over £1 Million for Breast Cancer

by Underlines

For over five years Lounge have been raising money for Breast Cancer with their annual Feel Your Breast campaign. This year’s campaign has been record breaking, taking the donations to an incredible total of £1 million.

Throughout the month of October, Lounge have been raising funds across their website and in their Westfield White City store where customers could get two free thongs when they spend over £40, with £5 of the order value being donated to The Lounge Foundation. They also took their famous Boob Box across the country, visiting students at universities in Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool and Cardiff where they gave out free thongs in return for a minimum donation of £1.

Lounge have unveiled the announcement of their record-breaking donation with a mural designed by Millie’s Murals on the window of their Westfield White City store.

This year the donations will go to The Lounge Foundation, an exciting new initiative brought to life by Founders of Lounge Mel and Dan Marsden. As a means to empower, inspire and celebrate individuals, communities and charities. With a clear vision and purpose, The Lounge Foundation exists to lead and collaborate on projects that drive change and make a positive impact for those who need it most.

On setting up the foundation, Mel Marsden said:

We are so excited to be taking the next step in this journey, it is a true passion project of ours. As a sister to Lounge, The Lounge Foundation is on a mission to make a lasting positive impact for so many causes from period poverty, education in developing countries to mental health the opportunities are endless, so watch this space.”
