Splash, the premium beachwear and resortwear show opened Saturday 24th June to sizzling temperatures and a Paris bustling with Gay Pride parades and musical events.
The trade event held in the atmospheric Le Carreau du Temple played host to a series of international brand names with Australia being particularly well represented this year – Jets, Seafolly, Celia B, Bond-Eye and Sea Level (the latter two showing for the first time in 2023).
British brands too were well represented with Paolita, Derek Rose, Talis Chains, Juliet Dunn, Studio Thirteen, Pink City Prints, Heidi Klein, Arkitaip, Mondo Corsini and newcomer Cossie & Co.
Sue Humberstone of Sea Level commented: “We had to try this show as we are launching into Europe this year and are a young brand that was created in 2018. We will also be taking part in the London Swimwear Show next month to introduce the brand to UK and Irish retailers. It’s an exciting time.”
A brand that particularly caught our eye was Israeli beach, resort and r-to-w label – ME369 – one to watch!
Alexandra Lyles of the Claret Showroom (organisers of Splash) commented :
“Once again we have been so excited to welcome all the familiar faces from our existing brands and stores to Splash (many hugs!) as well as those of we have welcomed for the first time. The buyers have expressed particular interest in Karolina K, peony, Cleonie, Pink City Prints, Stoney Clover, ME369, Talis Chains and Cossie & Co.”
The Show continues until Monday late afternoon (26 June 2023).
