Since the last physical edition in 2020 of ISPO Munich, the textile sector has seen great technological advances at the level of materials, finishes and processes with a great focus on sustainability, this being one of the main concerns of the Impetus company from Barqueiros.
New technical products and innovative solutions which aim to improve performance and comfort in sports while maintaining a constant concern for the customer and the preservation of the planet are some of the main innovations that the Impetus Group will present. The highlight goes to the athleisure products, developed with the sports practice in mind, that combine the seamless technology “double jersey”, in which Impetus is a pioneer in Portugal.
This year the company is presenting technical and innovative products developed with alternative raw materials to conventional ones and using the sustainable production processes of their unique vertical structure, which allows total control of processes, from research and design, to production and logistics.
The focus on materials with a lower environmental impact is a priority for the Group, which has established strategic partnerships in various areas from fibres such as Tencel™ and Good Earth Cotton (GEC), recycled linen or even fibres produced with the industrial waste from its own production, to the application of innovative colouring processes such as Colorifix which uses micro-organisms to replace the chemicals used in dyeing.
Traceability and transparency are also two areas in which the Group is involved through collaboration and the adoption of Fibretrace technology which allows its value chain to be mapped making it visible to the consumer so that they are aware of who was involved in the production of their garment.
The presence in one of the biggest events of the B2B sector reinforces the work that has been developed by the Impetus Group in terms of research, know-how and technological evolution.
