The Pantry Underwear arrives in Cambridge

by Underlines

The Pantry Underwear (and sister brand The Pantry Bridalwear) have arrived in the heart of Cambridge – the second store in the business which is a female founded multi-channel retailer offerings a reactive concept and forward-thinking approach to a relatively old-fashioned sector.

The Pantry Underwear and The Pantry Bridalwear have been founded on the same philosophy; to disrupt the industries they are in through offering refreshing concepts and original approaches that are unlike any competitors in their sectors. Both brands have been founded by independent business owner, Eloise Rigby, who grew up in Cambridge, and is thrilled to have opened her latest store location in addition to ‘Pant’ HQ in Islington and the original bridalwear store now turned design studio in Saffron Walden.

Already in receipt of a number of industry awards, Eloise’s team (aka The Pant Patrol) is made up of hardworking individuals all focused on driving forward the brand, working on transforming the common misconceptions and negative associations around the search for a new bra.

As well as a wide range of sizes (28-44 backs/A-K cups) in varying styles and extensive and exclusive colourways, the Pantry also stocks specialist categories such as maternity, post-surgery, solutions and first bras). Over 20 carefully selected brands are fitted by experts and of these brands, the vast majority are British and female-founded.

I am both excited and proud to be opening in my home town of Cambridge, in between an eclectic mix of neighbours made up to independents and high street staples … I have always wanted to be able to open a shop outside of London, in a neighbourhood that reflects our success in Islington – Cambridge just felt like the next natural step. I can’t wait to bring our team’s expertise and extensive range of products, including those from many fellow female-founded brands to grow our community of Pant Pals in the city and beyond.”

Eloise Rigby, Founder

The company runs a rewarding loyalty scheme and former Saffron Walden shoppers are being offered double loyalty credit on all purchases to end of November. The Cambridge store (19 Market Hill) also allows not just a greater depth of product lines and larger changing areas but also artworks by a local independent artist, a modern twist of bed socks designed in Bishop’s Stortford and a new illustrated pyjama brand from another independent female founder.
