Karolina Laskowska presents the latest ready-to-wear lingerie collection ‘Hesperides’, an opulent & maximalist antithesis to Scandinavian Minimalism. All garments are expertly hand crafted by the designer herself in her Oslo atelier, with a couture savoir-faire applied to the finest Leavers laces, bobbinet tulles and silks. Exquisite artisan techniques such as lace appliqué and silk ribbon embroidery invite the wearers to indulge in true luxury that is rarely seen in the modern intimates industry.
The silhouettes draw inspiration from historical lingerie design, updated for contemporary aesthetics and comfort. Most notable are the nods to the New Look bobbinet corselets of the 1950s, 18th century corsetry and the iconic 1930s ‘Kestos’ lingerie brand.
Many designs are intricately engineered to be as adjustable as possible, allowing the wearers to customise fit to their individual bodies. The collection marks a major size expansion after years of development, with bras now offered in cup sizes 30C/32B/34A/36AA to 30J/32HH/34H/36GG, and coordinates up to a UK 20. Although the ready-to-wear size range is limited, Karolina caters to all body types with her bespoke services. All nude illusion garments are customised to the individual client, in their choice of skin tone tulle.
Karolina Laskowska founded her eponymous lingerie brand in 2012 at the age of 19, during her degree studies. She graduated with first class honours in 2014 and her graduate collection was showcased at Graduate Fashion Week, receiving great acclaim in the national press.
