The Show that’s … Just Around the Corner!

 The UK fashion trade exhibition, Just Around the Corner, has added an elevated women’s area (THE EDIT) which this August will include swimwear, resortwear, nightwear and lingerie. Held in UK’s historic manufacturing hub in Manchester (2-3 August) and in London’s Brick Lane at the T1 and T2 spaces in the Truman Brewery (7-9 August).

This special section will fill the gap left by the old London Swimwear Show, catering to buyers and visitors primarily from the South East/Home Counties. Richard Barnes of Alba Associates (who previously organised the London Swimwear Show prior to the pandemic) commented:

“We at Alba are delighted to be a part of JATC. Chris from Patricia Eve first alerted us to this show after joint attempts to resurrect The London Swimwear Show were proving difficult. With the earlier and truncated INDX, this show is at the right time and gives our Swimwear Buyers the opportunity to see Swim and Beachwear at a new show for our industry in London.

The demand for a swimwear show in London has always been there and JATC now gives us that platform to showcase Gottex and our other brands to existing and hopefully new customers in a unique setting. The concept is extremely interesting and we hope that this proves a success for this season and for the years to come.”

Within THE EDIT (in London only this season), there is a new category of swim, lingerie, resort and nightwear – brands showing include Amoressa, Aqua Blu, Au Naturel, Commando, Cosabella, Gottex, Heaven, Iconique, LingaDore, Marjolaine, Miraclesuit, Polo Ralph Lauren and Profile by Gottex (go to website to get regular updates).

Over 400 brands have signed up across both venues showing an extensive mix of men’s and women’s fashion, footwear, accessories and lifestyle products. The pared back approach, affordable pricing, proximity to main transports hubs and complementary food, coffee, beverages and pastries from an eclectic mix of street vendors has brought a breath of fresh air to the B2B exhibition scene.

Commenting on the new categories Juls Dawson (Founder of Just Around the Corner): “We are very excited about our new premium women’s area and especially with regards to the recent influx of brands who have signed up covering resort and swim as this is a new category for us and one in which we see huge growth potential, given there is no alternative event in London for buyers to interface with brands from this sector.”

THE EDIT zones will sit alongside the main exhibition areas focused on commercially priced, established and emerging brands from the men’s and women’s sectors. The sustainable fashion-forward presentation launched last season is also being extended in August.
