Hindered and restricted from global unrest and uncertainty, provocateurs across the globe are re-awakening. Multifaceted, modern women who are outstanding in what they do. Ones that hero the magnificence of their body and embrace their femininity. Each one rocking their glamorous Agent Provocateur ensembles, a collection of sumptuous sets that serve as reminders of their AP alter ego.
During lockdown, creative director Sarah Shotton took the time to reflect on her journey before and during her 13-year reign at the helm of the brand. A journey peppered with creative, liberal, and atypical experiences that serve her to this day. “I’ve always believed that being liberal, free, and creative are my strongest suits,” she said. “Even before Agent Provocateur, I wasn’t limited by traditional thinking but instead encouraged to explore, to create, and to be provocative. This campaign felt like coming home to me. It celebrates this mindset whilst feeds the craving amongst our community to get back to glamour, get dressed up in gorgeous clothes, and to get inspired again, all the while remembering how to be a strong and fearlessly feminine provocateur.”
Captured by renowned photographer Venetia Scott, this campaign is brought to life with Venetia’s bold and distinctive style. Honouring Agent Provocateur’s British heritage, the grade 1 listed building Tyringham Hall sets the scene for re-awakened provocateurs to explore the domain. Hay-filled barns create the perfect spot for a long overdue catch up, whilst provocateurs don a glamorous selection of lingerie, nightwear, swimwear, and athleisure sets.
Re-ignite your AP alter ego with Rayley’s athleisure range, a collection featuring an array of colours from lilac, pinks, reds, and blacks. Available as either cropped t-shirts, comfortable sweatshirts, softer-than-softer sweatpants, and statement hoodies, each style is imbued with signature AP design DNA. Go back to glamour with Lorna’s iconic set available in black and baby pink, featuring featherlight tulle, scalloped edging and detailed embroidery. Cherise, a ballet-shoe inspired range, features black elastic trimming that juxtaposes against sheer tulle for an illusionary effect.
New to this season, Lorna’s black basque and pink baby doll completes your look and pairs perfectly over Lorna’s classic lingerie design. Helene’s all-black ensemble, a silk satin set complete with scalloped edged Leaver’s lace and a minute eyelash trim, re-captures feminine glamour. Fia’s black picot edge trim and panelled aesthetic is in a class of her own whilst time-honoured Mercy lifts your spirits in a blush colourway and form-finessing rigid lace panelling.
Ride onward with Henrieta, now shining brighter than ever in a pink colourway and matching minute bows. Palma, a signature set capable of decorating your form with black elastic outlines and trimmed lace galloons is any provocateurs daily uniform, whilst Hinda becomes a class act with a canvas of exquisite French Leavers Chantilly lace. Venetia in black casts a reveal and conceal flourish with her translucent tulle and intricate, picot edge trim, whilst Larisa uses cut-out satin and lace to create a key-hole design, complete with revealing peeps of scalloped eyelash lace.
Fan-favourite Joan returns in roaring leopard whilst Molly puts her provocateur lessons to use with a new gold colourway, complete with black leavers lace. Emmaline commands the room with her all-black slip, featuring lavish layers of silk satin paired with lace cuts outs for a seriously sumptuous ensemble. Take control with Fawn’s narrow straps, each featuring miniature explosions of lightweight tulle.
Dressage duties are always best performed in Zuri, an AP fan-favourite who puts some technicolour and texture back into our lives. Stablemates Laily and Jayce are the perfect duo to invoke some much-needed glamour back into our lives – Laily’s black lace base is complemented against Jayce’s burgundy set with scalloped edging from France.
Balancing form and finesse with her Leavers lace panels and structured satin cased boning, Rozlyn’s latest orange and praline colourways become your lingerie wardrobe essentials. Madlyin, a classic AP style that’s as sophisticated as she is indulgent, is cut from dark plum silk and finished with a delicate black Leaver’s lace overlay. Svanna’s set entices a touch of sparkle and glamour back into your life with Swiss designed embroidery laying atop a pink hue colourway, complete with a sparkling gold foil overlay.
Camilla’s timelessly sensual waspie uses Chantilly Leaver’s lace and satin panels to sculpt and finesse your figure whilst Farrah’s floral black lace, soft cup style completes the ensemble, flawlessly. Fan-favourite Ozella embodies overt opulence with floral lace base that juxtaposes against dramatic wet-look PVC bindings. Also available is her playsuit option, a revealing piece that’s contorts as much as it contours.
