Textile Forum will add a touch of delight this October

by Underlines

Textile Forum returns to London’s One Marylebone on 13-14 October 2021, allowing designers to engage all their senses when sourcing at the UK’s luxury fashion fabric show. After an 18-month hiatus, Textile Forum exhibitors will once again be offering quality fabrics with low minimum orders and speedy delivery as many collections will be available from stock.

“The response to Textile Forum’s return has been extremely positive with both suppliers and buyers excited about being able to make contact in person. As well as fabrics, there will accessories, trimmings, buttons, linings, labels and a group of garment manufacturers supported by UKFT, all in one place,” explains event director Amy Packham.

Among the exhibitors at the October show will be Litmans, which is now also selling the Knipidee range, Michael’s Bridal Fabrics, Pongees, The London Embroidery Company, Graham Smith, Carrington Fabrics, Partap, Bridal Fabrics, The National Weaving Company, Laurent Garigue, Henry Bertrand and James Hare. New fabrics from Pongees include a larger selection of colours within its tulle range and it has also updated its shade cards to include a large feeler.

Michael’s Bridal Fabrics has introduced a new book for fabrics that are available in an eco-friendly version, with qualities that are exact replicas of fabrics it already runs, such as crepes, satins, mikados, organzas and tulles, with yarns replaced with recycled versions. Fabrics in natural products, such as organic bamboo, oranges, bananas, milk and rose petals can also be found in the collection, alongside organic cotton and viscose designs, where the trees that are cut down to be turned into wood pulp are replaced with new ones. Also new are fancy tulles featuring organic cotton or recycled polyester yarn for the embroideries.
