Snag has today announced the launch of their brand-new hosiery collection inspired by the iconic 80’s TV cartoon show, Care Bears. The licensed hosiery collection is a fashion first for Snag and Care Bears and will be available in sizes 4-38 in an array of pastel tones that pay homage to the characters from the popular TV programme.
The partnership was born from Founder and CEO Brie Read’s love for the TV show as a child, and Snag made the conscious decision to feature the original 80’s cartoon characters on the products to further highlight the sentiment and nostalgia. Brie also notes that the original cartoon characters are particularly special to her because they were created by a female illustrator. Due to the Care Bears’ stories focusing on positive, heartwarming messages of caring and helping, Snag decided that now would be the perfect time to share the collection with their customers – given the challenges of the past year and a half.
The collection has been created using Snag’s special super-stretchy yarns, that ensure no snagging or sagging and are tailored to each individual customer due to their unique three-dimensional fit – based on height, dress size and body shape. It has also been meticulously designed and created to ensure that the cartoon characters sit perfectly on the wearer and never distort when worn, regardless of shape or size.
The new range will be comprised of 8 pairs of tights and two washbags, perfect for washing and storing hosiery. Each item in the collection features a different Care Bear character – including Funshine Bear, Cheer Bear, Tender Heart Bear, Better With Love Bear, Good Luck Bear, Care a Lot Bear, Grumpy Bear and Wish Bear.
