The theme for the collection, picture postcards, will make you want to jet off to far-flung destinations in casual styles, bold prints and exquisite fabrics. The loungewear segment has evolved again, with a focus on cool, sporty pieces perfect for venturing out. Smart new essentials, a sophisticated capsule nightwear range inspired by Japanese minimalism, and sustainable basics featuring statement prints in bright contrasting colours blend sustainability and lifestyle.
mey is taking casual style to a new level with its premium Lifestyle loungewear segment. Think sporty loungewear looks in on-trend colours that are perfect for putting together as monochrome ensembles or mixing and matching with other pieces from the capsule collection. Ultramarine is keeping things cool as the base colour, with Malibu blue, green lake, red flame and yacht blue thrown into the mix as signature accent shades.
The transition to loungewear and nightwear in the Modern segment is as smooth as can be, offering styles in a painted floral print, casual watercolour stripes, a bright-red pepper that appears as a pattern and as an embroidered detail, an elephant print, palm tree designs and surfer style designs. The accent colours creamy yellow and soft green bring the summer vibes with a fresh and light feel in dry cotton, and the traditional waistband and sewn-on elasticated waistband are joined by an elasticated waistband attached behind, adding a cool colour blocking element to some of the nightwear pieces.
Other highlights include new additions to the Venlo range, which is made from ultra-light slub French terry loungewear fabric. From the zip-up hoodie and short-sleeved top to the shorts and trousers, these casual fits with slanted pockets, wide tone-on-tone strings and roll-up sleeves and legs make sure that the styles in Malibu blue and green lake set hot new trends, with the comfy terry cloth on the inside making a real statement.
The RE:THINK Colour daywear and nightwear range made from 100% organic cotton with GOTS certification and the Grüner Knopf state textile seal promise ultimate comfort and fun, colourful prints. These designs are no longer colour coordinated with the season’s shades from the Moderns and Lifestyle segment -instead, each individual item encourages you to keep on finding new ways of combining patterns and colours.
The first delivery date has plenty to offer with Japanese-inspired figures and fonts from the Far East. Crazy animals are let loose for the second delivery date, with monkeys running wild and toucans being transformed into geometric patterns with their psychedelic beaks. Soft Woodstock is the theme for the third delivery date, when a warm pumpkin shade is paired with peace signs and a contrasting waistband in bright blue.
New casual swimming shorts and trunks are welcomed into mey’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, featuring the colours and prints from the Lifestyle and Moderns segments.
