Ms A London the new lingerie and solutions brand (designed and developed for transgender women and gender non-binary individuals presenting as female), was awarded the Favourite Brand Award at the Curve Pitch Off competition last night. The shark tank like competition featured six brands – La Muel, Effleure, Nuudii, Red Daisy, Carol Coelho and Ms A (London).
Bok Goodall, the designer behind Ms A London, commented:
“I was honoured to be asked to pitch to such an illustrious panel of judges and absolutely delighted to have won. It seems clear from the interest that the brand is creating that the collection is a long overdue development in intimate apparel and underwear”.
The entrants had to pitch their designs and innovations to a panel of industry judges including Patricia Maeda (Fashion Snoops), Kristen Classi-Zummo (The NPD Group), Andrea Kennedy (LIM College & Fashiondex), Asi Efros (Ann Vogue & Lingerie Briefs) and retailer Danny Kock of New York’s famous lingerie shop, Town Shop.
Buyers and boutique owners that were watching the presentation were entered into a competition to win product from the winner – the boutique which won was announced today as Bloomers in Alexandria, Virginia.
Ms A London has also linked up with non-profit organisation My Size to create more visibility and inclusivity through fashion and since its launch last year has created much excitement both in the UK and abroad. April 2021 marked the accolade of being the front cover of Curve Revealed, the magazine of the Curve Expo event.
