Bluebella bridal lingerie sales surge as UK comes out of lockdown

Sales of bridal lingerie at Bluebella have more than tripled following the announcement that weddings will come “roaring back” this summer and all restrictions will be removed from June 21. Since the roadmap out of lockdown was announced, Bluebella has has seen an 360% rise (YoY compared with Feb/March 2020) across all bridal wear, with a 218% average increase on their bridal bra styles, an 82% rise in suspenders and bridal garters, and kimono sales are up 127%.

Bluebella CEO and founder Emily Bendell said: “We saw bridal lingerie sales start to rocket once the announcement was made that summer wedding can go ahead. The success of our ivory tones suggest that lots of brides are starting to prep for their big day.”

The Bluebella bridal range features many styles in delicate shades, with beautiful designs that range from the pure to the provocative. A chic open-cup bra in one of Bluebella’s bestselling designs, the Nova combines directional strapping with opulent lace. The floral design of the lace creates a fluid line on the cup, softening the silhouette and adding delicacy to the cage-effect strapping.

Delicate and delectable, the Vienna Bra has been reinvented for Spring Summer 2021 in a soft new colourway. Floral embroidery embellishes the sheer mesh front panel, there is a doubled waistband on the thong to create a sculptural high-waist effect, and gold-tone hardware adds a touch of opulence to the back of the piece. Last but not least, the full length soft sheer chiffon kimono is a must-have item to complete the bridal nightwear wardrobe.
