Award winning lingerie brand Raine & Bea is re-launching with ‘The Sulking Parlour’, a brand-new collection inspired by lockdown. Known for its luxe fabrics and bespoke designs, the label is owned by founder and chief designer Jenna Barnes, who has also costumed acclaimed theatre productions including Cabaret! and Bat Out of Hell.
The unusually-named new collection features the label’s trademark boudoir looks, with an upmarket edge – stand-out garments include the ‘It’s Fine’ ostrich feather suspender belt in Jet Black, ‘Strop’ a show-stopping underwired silk and gold textured steel boned dress. and ‘In A Huff’, a quilted stitched bra and steel boned girdle in Champagne Pink.
“The collection name is derived from the word ‘boudoir’,” says Jenna. “But it also reflects the ongoing lockdowns and restrictions we’re all living with. Earlier this year, I was moping around – so I decided to use the time at home to get creative and upstage my previous work with a new collection!”
Fabrics feature stretch silk satin, silk duchesse satin, power-net, hand stitched quilted duchesse satin, cotton mixed textured fabrics and ostrich feathers, to create a sense of sensual luxury.
