Quality, sustainability and comfort are the leitmotifs of the season, with a focus on renewable materials such as viscose, modal and cotton. The change in awareness caused by the pandemic has influenced the collection: the yearning for peace and naturalness is reflected in the range of understated colours – from dark green and neutral mineral shades to earthy tones.
Simultaneously, the play of new colours, expressive prints and playful cuts exudes happiness and optimism. Soft tones like the powdery peony create flashes of brightness in the winter. Moss, a brilliant yellowish green, adds a new boost and brings freshness and intensity to the collection. Working from home is the new normal, making comfortable styles essential for every occasion from desk to couch.
The Lovestory, Poetry and Juliette segments once again form the stylistic highlight of the autumn/winter collection this season. Elegant silhouettes, opulent lace and exclusive prints lend a distinctive note to the feminine styles and create real fashion statements. The high-quality Lovestory loungewear segment boasts an expressive art print on flowing viscose, combining various shades of green reminiscent of forest colours with on-trend mineral grey for an elegant look.
The button-down pyjamas with lapels and an all-over print are a real statement look, and the feminine camisole in the Juliette series is the eye-catching counterpart in the Poetry lingerie segment. Other signature styles include the non-wired lace bralettes, which effortlessly combine comfort and sensuality and are colour-matched to the Lovestory range. The newly introduced Coco series offers elegant pieces including camisoles, French knickers and negligées in flowing viscose-modal fabrics and neutral, clear shades.
Classic patterns like stripes have been given a trendy update for the second delivery date and come in stone nuances – for instance, in a long, flowing tunic dress and high-waist wide-leg trousers. Combined with the exotic phoenix print, it creates a fashionable change of style and colours such as dark love rouge and light peony complement the neutral mineral shades. In daywear, the high-fashion Poetry segment is matched to the Lovestory styles, making it perfect for cross-styling between the two segments. New to Poetry are the plain-coloured, viscose-based tops from the Poetry Classy series – a sleek, exquisite basic top with a silky look.
This season, the underwear series displays an array of facets: elegant and pure but also playful and seductive with transparency, embroidery and lace. The colour range is based on Lovestory and Poetry, featuring dark green, Venice blue, artsy clay, graphite and love rouge – the colours of the night match the dark season and look especially sophisticated and feminine when combined with lace. Alongside the dark grey graphite tone, selected designs from the Amazing series will come in the striking moss colour for the early delivery date in June, with transparency and eyelash lace for a sexy touch. The decorative body made from all-over floral lace is an exciting eye-catcher this season too, the perfect combination of seduction and amazing comfort.
The Stunning series with ornamental lace promises sensuality and opulence, combining filigree designs with the mystical Venice blue. The decorative designs in the Luxurious series are a real eye-catcher in vintage blue, boasting various cuts from the bi-stretch bra to the triangle spacer bra, hipster briefs, high-waist briefs or thong. These sumptuous lingerie items contrast with simple styles and purist cuts, and in daywear the styles are perfectly matched to the lingerie. Whether it’s comfortable cotton, glossy viscose, flowing modal or skin-friendly Coolmax® – there’s the right fabric for every need when it comes to materials.
The Ilvy series in elegant black matches Amazing with decorative eyelash lace at the neckline and back. The feminine sets made from wool promise elegance and nostalgia with a touch of romance, where the Amazing lace also makes a decorative statement. Daywear also focuses on sustainable materials, with new cuts debuting in the Biotyful series offering GOTS certification and the Grüner Knopf state textile seal.
Mey is focusing on natural comfort with that typical Mey feel by introducing three further products in an innovative 4-way stretch material (tank top, hipster briefs, high-waist briefs). This series therefore consists of a material blend of Supima cotton combined with modal and elastane made using clean-cut technology, ensuring an especially fine, clean and soft surface.
Night2Day has been revamped with a Joyful Escapism theme, featuring watercolour-look stripe designs worn as single jersey with casually cut shirts and clean looks. The half-sleeve shirt with turned-up cuffs is a new cut that, like all the other styles, can be mixed and matched with many looks. Alongside the sweatpants, a two-way zippered cardigan in a classic blouson cut will also be available. When it comes to colour, new secco and new blue are the basis of the collections and complemented by the on-trend goldenrod, sandstone and peony shades. The oversized, brushed-fabric loungewear combination in new secco is a real fashion statement, while the comfortable leopard-print pieces in light peony guarantee the eye-catching factor.
The theme for the classic nightwear is Mood of Balance, focusing on relaxing and balanced sleep and a state of great well-being. These designs feature large-scale flower prints alongside millefleurs, wide stripes and cool dots in pretty, fashionable autumnal tones such as love rouge, sandstone or vintage blue. The delicate pink peony shade brings freshness to the second delivery date. Natural materials such as cotton and soft modal are key and the designs provide that cosy feeling with a cotton interlock with a fluffy, napped surface to warm those chilly nights for the third delivery date.
A stand-alone cotton interlock capsule is a true novelty in the field of classic sleepwear and will be included in the NOS range for the July delivery date. All styles are 100% organic cotton and GOTS-certified and the super-fine and clean look of this fabric is especially elegant in pure white. Lightweight, flowing viscose meets ultra-comfortable cuts in the Sleepy & Easy nightwear range, offering styles inspired by the loungewear with a modern flounce dress with ruffles making a fashionable statement, for example. The scribbled pout-mouth print can be seen on casual stripes and grey melange and the strong granita berry shade appears in the second delivery date.
