New eco-friendly Latvian brand, Capacity Amberwear, offers underwear made using composite amber fibres. Reinforced with silver powder in the form of nano fibres, the composite amber fibres contain pure Baltic amber, a unique mineral formed exclusively in the Baltic Sea area. Around 50 million years are needed for nature to create the Baltic amber, and its exclusivity lies in its diverse organic composition and positive effects on the body.
Some of its properties include an antioxidant effect, renewal and extension of the cells’ life cycle, improving microcirculation and protecting against UV rays and radiation. The composite amber fibres also have anti fungal properties, are hypoallergenic, breathable, environmentally friendly and provide a calming effect. The patented composite amber fibres developed by Latvian scientists have international recognition, including European certificates of quality and safety (Certificate AITEX and Certificate Made for Health).
Inspired by this unique material, Capacity Amberwear has created eco-friendly, smart lingerie products that work as a therapy for the whole body. Designed in Italy and produced in Latvia with comfort and functionality in mind, the brand’s first limited edition set, Electra, is made using a blend of amber yarn, pure cotton and polyamide. The soft cup balconette bra features underwires to support different breast sizes and a removable soft as silk underband. The capsule collection is available in 32-38 and B-D cups, with plans to expand the size range to 30-38 B-G in the upcoming SS21 collection.
