Havaianas has just signed a contract with the Brazilian Olympic Committee and, in addition to dressing the Brazilian delegation feet, it is now part of the official list of sponsors until the end of 2021. Havaianas will be part of the Brazilian Team’s parade uniform with a classic model, the Havaianas Top Brazil Logo, and will also launch a licensed collection to be sold globally during the competition.
“Our Havaianas brand has a strong emotional connection with people. We have been part of the Brazilians way of life for almost 60 years, and today we are known all over the world for representing joy, freedom, and the summer spirit. Walking with the Brazilian Team at the opening ceremonies make us immensely proud,” says Roberto Funari, Alpargatas CEO, Havaianas owner company.
“We are very proud of having a brand such as Havaianas in our sponsors list. The Opening Ceremony is the delegation’s first appearance at the Games, and nothing is more authentic and Brazilian than wearing Havaianas,” says Brazilian Olympic Committee President, Paulo Wanderley Teixeira.
