The upcoming edition of MarediModa, scheduled from 3 to 5 November 2020, is going to be held at Villa Erba, Cernobbio, on the shores of Lake Como. “We had been confident until a few days ago to carry out our traditional event in Cannes at the Palais des Festivals, even with the difficult problem of Covid19. The recent provisions from the French government of 22nd September had made us think that we would have risked to cancel the event and to jeopardise the work of a whole year,” said Claudio Taiana, president of MarediModa.
“We also realised that there were no condition to hold the show in Cannes in total safety, also in the light of the mandatory quarantine for people back to Italy from France. An emergency board was called immediately and we identified Villa Erba as an alternative location for the show. For this edition we forego the extraordinary Palais des Festivals, which has been accompanying us all these years, and have chosen an equally fascinating venue, which we are sure will be appreciated by all our guests as well.”
The undisputed stars of the event will be the 2022 collections of fabrics and accessories, the new design studio’s proposals and private label companies. Trend forum guided tours and trend presentation 2022 by David Shah are confirmed, as well as the usual MarediModa agenda. Maximum attention to every safety measure is being taken to allow a dynamic working situation, and access to the show will be designed with safe distancing in mind.
