Wolford is thrilled to announce a collaboration with global sportswear giant, adidas, partnering to create two capsule collections. Studio Motion and Sheer Motion will both feature sleek and supportive performance pieces crafted with opaque and sheer knitting techniques to cover and highlight the body. The collection introduces two drops featuring completely seamless garments including three coordinated long sleeve top and legging sets and two bodysuit looks, all offering full coverage and a second skin feel. With combinations of sheer and opaque knits, each piece is designed to be worn during workouts and layered throughout the day, providing an effortless transition from the studio to wherever your day takes you.
Capsule 1 – Studio Motion: Pushing the boundaries of knitted design, the collaboration launches in November with Studio Motion, a capsule collection which features a sleek coordinated long sleeve top and legging set. The intricate use of knitting techniques paired with metallic yarns produces a high-shine finish, which is characterised by fluid lines to complement the body’s curves and make the wearer stand out, whether in the gym or out exploring the city.
Capsule 2 – Sheer Motion: Taking inspiration from 90s styling, Sheer Motion launches in January 2021 including a set of coordinates that represent the ultimate fusion of adidas’ sportswear innovation and Wolford’s sheer opaque premium technique. Continuing the fluid line aesthetic from Studio Motion, each Sheer Motion piece uses micro detailing to offer a sheer look in areas where breathability is needed the most, all while providing a stylish yet modest, cut-out aesthetic. Thicker, tactically placed opaque knit panels reinfoce areas that need more support and coverage, perfectly highlighting the body without distracting seams.
