Raine & Bea is back in business

by Underlines

Raine & Bea, Britain’s smallest lingerie boutique, offers high end luxury from the heart of Lancashire’s ‘wedding town’ . The boutique opened in December 2018 and has built up a loyal clientele of international lingerie-lovers and locals seeking luxurious style, offering collections by lingerie designer and owner Jenna Barnes as well as British-owned brands including Something Wicked, Studio Pia and Katherine Hamilton.

“Our vintage-style ranges are incredibly popular with brides looking for something special, while the more theatrically-influenced ranges are beloved of burlesque performers and celebrities, both public and private,” says Jenna, who has created for Celine Dion, Louise Redknapp, Will Young and dressed the cast of Cabaret and Bat Out Of Hell.

Lockdown proved a challenge, but Jenna enlisted her family to help sew scrubs for NHS workers – alongside having her fourth baby. She’s now delighted to be back in business and is eager to showcase luxury British lingerie brands both online and in the tourist-attraction shop itself. “We have such a wonderful tradition of beautifully-made lingerie in Britain and there’s never been a more exciting time for independent brands to show off, now that lockdown has encouraged shoppers to buy more locally.”

With a new Raine & Bea collection on track for Autumn/Winter, sales are booming online and shoppers are once again queueing to enter the boutique. Jenna adds that the team spent much of lockdown “thinking about what we can offer our customers to make the experience even better. It’s been a challenging time for everyone, but we’re so grateful to our loyal brands and customers.”
