#MaskOfTheDay launched to create unique face coverings from home

by Underlines

The latest in fashion face masks has been unveiled by The Printable Mask co. with the launch of the Mask Of The Day (MaskOTD) home printing kit. Now with just the touch of a button (and a quick selfie) you can coordinate your face covering with any outfit whether it be a leopard print, stripes, geometric or a bright and bold print. Included in the kit is a special QR code guiding the user to an app that features patented technology, which creates a template that can be printed  using a regular home printer straight onto the cotton inkjet sheets.

The kit includes inkjet printable, breathable, 100% cotton sheets with filtration fabric inserts, elasticated ear loops, comfort fit adjustable nose bands and iron-on web adhesive. The masks have been tested to meet World Health Organisation guidelines for barrier masks and AFNOR guidance on filtration and breathability.

Dr. Graeme Taylor and successful entrepreneur Richard North, co-founders of innovative toy company Wow! Stuff, set up The Printable Mask Co, a new venture to help in the fight against COVID-19. Mask Of The Day is the first product it has launched encouraging the regular day-to-day use of masks during the global pandemic. For the launch, The Printable Mask co. has also pledged to donate a minimum of £10,000 of the proceeds from the sale of the masks to NHS Charities Together.

Richard North, CEO of Wow! Stuff said: “As we head into what everyone is calling the ‘new normal’, we’re pleased to unveil this brand new product that features impressive technology which will hopefully inspire people to get creative in the current climate, but most importantly encourage safety and use of masks. In the midst of this global pandemic it is paramount that we don’t get complacent with government guidelines and remain vigilant trying to do all we can to help combat this virus. By adapting the ‘clinical look’ and making masks become a part of our everyday wardrobe choices we hope more and more people will start wearing face coverings helping reduce the transmission of COVID-19.”
