With face coverings now mandatory in shops, YR Masks have launched a mask personalisation service enabling customers to purchase washable masks suitable for adults and children. The masks retail at £8 each and are made from a double layer fabric – the inner layer is 100% cotton and outer layer is made from a polyester fabric with superior wicking – with elasticated straps to ensure a snug fit around the face.
YR are best known for their in-store customisation collaborations with big fashion brands such as Michael Kors, Selfridges and Nike. Covid 19 has temporarily stunted YR’s growth in live customisation at events, but online product personalisation is booming.
“Covid 19 has been an unexpected challenge for the retail industry and we are one of many businesses affected. But we have seen a 200% increase in enquiries for the YR platform from fashion and accessory brands and I predict the pandemic will not only drive demand for face coverings now but it will be the must-have fashion accessory of the future,” said Tim Williams, YR co-founder.
