Tucca Swim launch non-surgical face masks to raise funds for NHS charities

by Underlines

UK based sustainable swimwear label Tucca Swim have launched non-surgical face masks to wear as a protective aid in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. The bright and colourful face masks cost £6.00 each and are hand made using the brand’s fun and vibrant sustainable swimwear fabrics. All proceeds from mask sales are to be donated to the NSH Charities Together.

“Last week we had the idea to start making non-surgical masks after hearing the Government saying we all may have to wear them outside of the house and the struggle to find masks easily online! A lot of the fabric we are using is from our swimwear offcuts so it’s going even further with our sustainability values. We are making them at home and hope that they can make a real positive difference during this time,” said

Helaina and Chloe Thomas, founders of Tucca Swim.

Masks should be ideally hand washed but can be washed at 60° in a washing machine. Since launching last Friday, the brand have sold over 74 masks and are aiming to raise at least £1000.00 for the charity within the coming weeks.
