Thinx, the creators of underwear that absorb your period, has launched a new limited edition Super Cotton Brief exclusively at Selfridges as part of Project Earth, an initiative driven by the department store to highlight sustainable shopping. The limited-edition underwear features the Eurasian red squirrel, an endangered species in Europe that’s known for helping with reforestation.
Siobhan Lonergan, Chief Brand Officer at Thinx, said: “We are excited to collaborate with Selfridges on our first department store exclusive. The new Super Cotton Brief in Juniper features an adorable, yet endangered, red squirrel. This woodland creature is critical to helping with reforestation by dispersing different kinds of seeds as they hop from tree to tree. Once seen all over Great Britain, Italy, and my home country, Ireland, their numbers have decreased drastically in recent years. Through this pair of Thinx, we hope to raise awareness of the plight of the red squirrel and the forests with this limited-edition brief.”
The Thinx Super Cotton Brief is perfect for heavy period days with a comfy, full-coverage fit in organic cotton and holds up-to four regular tampons’ worth of blood. The underwear is washable and reusable and is designed to replace traditional pads and tampons for an environmentally friendly period.
