Chantelle joins battle against Covid-19

by Underlines

On March 20th, Chantelle joined the French Strategic Committee of the Fashion and Luxury Industry (CSF) appointed by the French Ministry of Economy to coordinate the textile industry and manufacture face masks for companies in sectors essential to the country’s economy. Faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, Chantelle have mobilised their factories and expertise to prototype and produce reusable fabric face masks approved for use by professionals in contact with the public. This mask is intended for staff assigned to posts or missions involving regular contact with the public.

The masks are produced in Tunisia, Thailand and Vietnam and transported via the Chantelle logistics platforms in France. Strict sanitary conditions have been implemented in all sites to protect employees who volunteered to make the masks, including safe distancing, team rotations, mandatory hand and machine cleaning, temperature measurement and daily cleaning and disinfection of changing rooms, bathrooms and common areas.
