Eco-friendly cycles brand ohne rallies allies in the startup community to extend their support for the NHS and deliver 25,000 free organic tampons to wards around the UK. Following the overwhelming demand and support for ohne’s initial offer to send free tampons to NHS wards, the brand has teamed up with like-minded businesses to super-charge their efforts in both reach and quantity.
Hand in hand with Astrid & Miyu, Boucleme, Kimai, Nudea, Pollen, Smith and Sinclair and Techstars, ohne is expanding the reach of their donation campaign, which kicked off at the end of March. Having already sent out 5,000 tampons, the campaign now has the resources to impact more NHS wards and workers in need all over the UK, and will donate 25,000 free, organic period products.
“We feel it’s now more essential than ever to look out for each other – especially the staff on NHS wards who are on the frontlines of this pandemic. Now, thanks to the help of some of our favourite brands and businesses, we can get more free, organic period products sent out more quickly, to more people,” says Leah Remfy-Peploe, Co Founder of ohne.
How it works: If you work on an NHS ward (no matter what your position or role), and know that you and/or your team are struggling to access period products, simply contact the ohne team via social media or email (babes@ohne.com).
