Launched in August 2018, NOVMBR is a minimalist, sustainable and eco-friendly swimwear collection designed to help the environment. Made with high quality Italian fabrics, NOVMBR is created from 100% regenerated polyamide fibre created from post-consumer materials such as fishing nets, industrial plastic waste and other discarded nylons found in the ocean.
NOVMBR Founder and Swimwear Designer, Leanne Dunn explains: “NOVMBR was conceived at the end of a summer season when all of my swimwear was heading for the bin. Worn out by sun and sea damage, out of shape and, frankly, some of it just looking a bit bleh! Our vision at NOVMBR is to create an ethically sound, high-end swimwear range that oozes beach glamour, that’s premium quality and designed to last. Our launch range is a capsule collection of mix + match bikinis in a pared back colour palette with Brazilian style high-cut bikini bottoms designed to flatter and tops that are both easy to wear and stunning to view.”
The three bikini tops consist of Banda, in a bandeau style with a straight neckline and minimal, triple straps to reverse the top; Bohia, a bralet bikini top featuring a flattering plunge neckline with a ‘V’ back detail to accentuate the shoulders; and Java, with a scoop neck bikini top and adjustable tie-up spaghetti straps which can be tied in a variety of ways to suit all body shapes. The bottoms can be mix and matched with the bikini tops and vary from the V-Cut Savu, Koro, featuring a double strap, and Sibuyan, with a high-cut leg detail to accentuate curves. The debut collection is complete with a one-piece, Arafura, featuring a scoop to the back and under arms and a super high cut leg.
