Chantelle x Marta Jakubowski at London Fashion Week

Chantelle Lingerie proudly sponsored Marta Jakubowski at her first standalone London Fashion Week show. Marta used lingerie within her collections to showcase modern, powerful women and the show featured products from Chantelle as well as debuting new shapes and colours from the brand’s SS19 collection.

Renault Cambuzat, Chief Creative Officer, commented: “Chantelle seeks to collaborate with emerging creatives and challenge convention. We want to propose new codes for women to take on as their own; to make them feel confident in body and mind. Marta Jakubowski shares this purpose and intention. Her attention to details and ability to seamlessly blend lingerie into her designs – blurring the line between inner wear and outerwear – makes her a great talent to partner with.”

The Spring/Summer 2019 collection evokes Marta’s teenage memories of the Noughties, the rebellion of youth, fickleness and naivety. “Clothes for me are the recording of time. You know, I always remember something I was wearing on my first night out, or my first kiss, or the first time I ran away from home,” she says. Marta feels strongly about being an active part of the conversation when it comes to making women look and feel great and overcoming body consciousness. Marta has commented: “I think that what you wear underneath is just as important as your outfit. It should give you comfort but also confidence, and why not show it.”
