New beachwear brand Victoria England is the product of over 20 years working with textiles, many years travelling the world and absorbing influences from different cultures. Founded by Victoria England in 2016 after working for over two decades as a knitwear designer, the brand offers feminine yet understated hand crafted resort wear. Each item is delicately handmade and pieces combine traditional beading and embroidery techniques, executed by expert craftsmen with modern silhouettes.
The brand’s first collection was inspired by the textures, fabrics and handicrafts of other cultures – the kaleidoscope of colours, vibrant hues and explosions of pattern as seen in Oaxaca in Mexico, Rajasthan in India and Chicicastenango in Guatemala. “I love travelling, packing a bag and heading somewhere warm and vibrant, exploring new cultures, taking in the sights and kicking back,” said Victoria. “My aim was to combine this wanderlust with my fashion background as I am inspired by the textiles I have collected over the years, such as gorgeous embroideries from Indonesia and paisley prints and intricate beading from India.”
