Launched in 2015, K-Mono beachwear is the brainchild of Scheherezade Nath King, who took inspiration from both traditional Japanese kimonos and vibrant colours from her native India to create a collection for ladies with international taste. All pieces are made in Gibraltar and have a playful touch of the sunny Mediterranean, where Scheherezade calls home and where the brand name comes from (‘k-mono’ is Spanish text-speak for “how cute!”).
Available in a range of colours and in both sleeveless and long sleeves, pieces are designed to be versatile so they can be used to lounge at the pool or dressed up with accessories for a night out. For the more adventurous there is Knotty by K-Mono, a range of sassy tops and shorts featuring the trademark K-Mono side tie-up.
K-Mono products have been popular at fashion markets in London, Marbella, Rotterdam and Mumbai, and return to London this July for their debut at the London Swimwear Show and Cabbages and Frocks Market in Marylebone.
