Coco de Mer‘s Instinct Spring/Summer 2017 collection invites you to surrender to your animalistic nature. Inspired by our most primal and impulsive desires, the new range allows you to surrender to pleasure and uses multi-layering to create surface textures that imitate animal skins, scales, feathers and horns.
Coco de Mer managing director Lucy Litwack said: “Sexual, primitive urges and reactions are installed within us and we have never lost touch with them throughout evolution. Coco de Mer’s new collection Instinct shamelessly releases these inner urges – allowing you to find your underlying animalistic instinct and sexual identity. SS17 will draw attention to the most erotic and fascinating parts of the body, showcasing your inner desire.”
The Instinct collection features Rhea, with dramatic red angled panels combined with Solstiss French all-over lace and folded silk; Gaia, in a gilded Jean Bracq lace and golden silk satin; Panthera, which reveals and conceals the body in invisible tulle and fine French lace; Pandion, featuring fine strapping and feather embroidery; Ardea, reminiscent of wetlook scales and shimmery feathers; Vipera, wrapping around the body like a snake and Egretta, in slate blue silk chiffon French lace. Coco de Mer SS17 is available from the flagship boutique in London’s Covent Garden, online and at multiple outlets including Harrods, Matchesfashion.com and Selfridges.
