Small Business Saturday celebrates Unibu

British underwear brand Unibu has been named among the 100 small businesses in the UK to be celebrated by Small Business Saturday, the campaign that culminates in the UK’s dedicated day for small businesses on December 3rd. Created by Shirley Crisp, everything that Unibu designs was manufactured in British factories, even its boxes and labels, and Shirley has recently started selling wholesale.

“Being a small new brand to the lingerie industry this is great news for Unibu and reaching the top 100 small businesses in the UK is quite mind-blowing,” said Shirley. “My passion is to build on the Made In Britain concept as customers really understand the importance of supporting UK jobs – I would urge everyone to show your support via social media on @SmallBizSatUK!”

The 100 selected businesses will be featured by the Small Business Saturday campaign leading up to the big day, which last year saw £623m spent with small businesses across the UK and was supported by 75% of local councils. Small Business Saturday was originally founded by American Express and the campaign is also supported by PRS For Music, TalkTalk Business, Vistaprint, Post Office and Clear Channel.
