New brand Acai Activewear is the culmination of a dedicated research on what women need from contemporary and fashionable activewear. Developed over many years by designer and fitness fanatic Kasia Bromley, who has previously worked for fashion house Alexander McQueen as well as technical sportswear brands, Acai will present its first collection at Pure London this July followed by MODA Lingerie & Swimwear in August.
The brand focuses on cut and fit combined with functional details, but is also determined to innovate and help boost performance with clothes that stand out. This resulted in the development of a feature unique to Acai Activewear, the seam-free inner leg technology, which eliminates the risk of chafing and skin irritation in these common problem areas.
During the design development process Kasia also worked hard to create what she calls ‘the unique curvecut technology’, meaning she uses curved and angled lines to create shapes that compliment the female form. Seams and panels are strategically placed to show off women’s bodies in the best way possible.
“Design is about incorporating technology with philosophy and we believe that every woman is one-of-a-kind, from her body to her soul, so we wanted our clothing to reflect that. From our mix and match items to promote that individuality to our innovative 4-way hi-stretch fabric that is designed to mould to your figure, no matter what size or shape you are,” said Kasia.
Other examples of Acai‘s attention to detail are hidden pockets on the brand’s sports bras to ensure women are never without important items, as well as waterproof pocket zips, reflective trims and an iPod port on the Acai bomber jacket.
