The first edition of Scoop London is set to take the city by storm this September. Inviting independents and major players in multi-store retailers and department stores the show will bring next summer’s sun-kissed trends including resortwear, beachweat, jewellery and accessories designers that are making a splash.
Since launching in 2008, British luxury fashion brand Lily and Lionel has become synonymous with innovative print design. After 7 years spent focusing on creating digital prints and sourcing the finest fabrics, the time was right to expand their product so the beginning of 2015 saw the launch of Lily and Lionel’s first resort and swimwear collections, the latter produced in collaboration with leading swimwear manufacturer Gottex. This was followed by the brand’s first Ready-to-Wear collection of silk shirts, leather jackets and more for A/W15, marking a new stage in the brand’s history. For customers who prefer a mix and match approach to beachwear, Italian bikini brand Whykini brings bustiers, bandeaus and halter-neck styles in block colours and florals plus a range of briefs that feature subtle frills and escalloped trimmings.
Introducing a new, original and fun loungewear collection, Lolly 5000 was launched in October 2014 by textile designer Lolly Cooper. With an art school background and a renowned artist father – Royston Cooper – Lolly grew up surrounded by design and paint and always found time to freelance for London textile studios even during her successful career in television and film as a graphic designer and VFX artist. The Lolly 5000 collection includes kimonos, slips, lounge pants, cami knickers, camisoles and playsuits with bespoke prints.
For women who want their at-home look to more closely echo the style they show to the outside world, Hesper Fox brings a modern take on classic shapes in unsleepy colourways and exclusive, bold prints in 100% silk charmeuse. Beautifully tailored and exquisitely detailed (think French seams, silk bindings and mother-of-pearl buttons), the collection is made in the EU and is sold separately, co-ordinating with other wardrobe staples.
Other highlights from Scoop London are resortwear brand Christophe Sauvat from Portugual and Miguelina from the Dominican Republic, Finlay & Co sunglasses and sandals galore from IRIS Sandals, Musa and SolillasLuxe, as well as Kaanas from Colombia, PEREZ AND PEREZ from Spain and Sabbie from Italy.
